Under the leadership of Jean-Marie Koffi, Secretary General of PMAWCA, the regional institution is taking a historic step by inaugurating a new era for the management of African port talent. From 1 to 5 September 2025, PMAWCA organized its very first seminar in Cotonou (Benin) dedicated to Forward Management of Jobs and Skills (GPEC), marking an unprecedented turning point in the history of the regional port.
During five days of intensive exchanges, participants from the ports of Abidjan (PAA), Cotonou (PAC), Kribi (PAK), Douala (PAD), Lagos (NPA Nigeria), Liberia (NPA Liberia) and OPRAG (Gabon) enriched these strategic debates by generously sharing their respective experiences, successes and daily challenges.
The seminar was moderated by Dr. Godwin ALINI YANDJANGOYE, renowned international consultant, former Director General of OPRAG and current Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Planning and Foresight of Gabon.
This first seminar, unanimously welcomed by all participants as a particularly visionary initiative of the PMAWCA, undeniably marks a historic turning point for the continental port sector.
