All the delegations from the 16 West and Central African ports arrived Lome to participate in the Regional Port Training Course financed by the Malaysian Ministry of Transport and implemented by Port Klang Authority (PKA) with the collaboration of the Port Management Association of West and Central Africa (PMAWCA) and the technical support of the Port Professional Training Centre (PTC) led by the Concessionaire Africa Consulting Leaders
(ACL).
The opening ceremony took place on the 23rd of September 2023 at Hotel Sarakwawa, conducted under the cherished patronage of the President of the Republic of Togo, H.E. Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé represented for the occasion by the Ministry of Maritime Economy, Fishing and Environmental Protection of the Minister. During this 5-days crash training , delegates from the subregional ports were immersed into the intricate understanding of port organization and the strategies deployed in the international port and maritime sector.
