Kicking off on the 23rd and closing on the 27th of October 2023 in Denmark, the 5th Port Sustainability study Visit organized by PENAf, convened a dozen of selected sustainability and environmental experts from PMAWCA ports.
Through practical and highly interactive working sessions with Danish experts from the port of Aalborg, the port of Aarhus, the University of Aalborg, the University of Aarhus, and experts from companies working on the port domain, participants came to understand how Danish ports are suceeding to collaborate with researchers and big firms to develop innovative solutions to meet their ambitious sustainability goals.
Discussions were held to reflect on the ways in which West and Central African ports could contextualise some of this experience shared, in order build a strong collaborative ecosystem which strongly involves researchers, funders and other relevant actors to drive our ports development towards and excellent sustainability culture.
