It is with profound sorrow and deep regret that the Secretariat of the Port Management Association of West and Central Africa (PMAWCA) informs the public of the passing of Dr. EBOUPEKE LOUIS, Director General of the National Port Authority of Cameroon, a member port of PMAWCA.
Dr. EBOUPEKE departed on December 17, 2024, at the Essos Central Hospital following an illness. Throughout his distinguished tenure as Director General of the National Port Authority of Cameroonian, Dr. EBOUPEKE LOUIS served as an esteemed member of our Association. His invaluable contributions to the advancement and prominence of the port sector resonated not only within Cameroon but throughout our entire economic region. The impact of his exemplary leadership, profound expertise, and visionary strategic approach has left an indelible mark on our regional port community.
His remains were laid to rest on the 1st February 2025 in Batombe, Cameroon, his homeland.
The funeral ceremony was attended by administrative and political figures of all ranks.
Following the church service dedicated to his official funerals, the deceased was posthumously decorated with the medal of Knight of the Order of Merit of Cameroun, awarded by the Senior Divisional Officer of Sanaga Maritime.
