Visit of the Secretary General to the New Managing Director of the Port of Cotonou
As customary, after the appointment of a New Managing Director in any PMAWCA member port, the Secretary General sends out a congratulatory message and follows-up with a curtesy visit.
For this reason, the Secretary General and the Project Manager paid a curtesy visit to the Managing Director of the Port of Cotonou on the 13th of April 2018.
During this visit, the Secretary General gave a brief history of the association and the very significant role that the Port of Cotonou has played in the different activities of the association and its reforms since 2012. The Secretary General also gave the MD a progress report of the proposed Private Public Partnership programme for the PMAWCA Training Centre (PTC) and personally invited him to the next meeting of the Board of Directors.
Mr. Christiaan De BLOCK, the new managing Director alongside his colleagues, namely the Commercial Director, the Marketing Manager, and the HOD Treasury reiterated the commitment of the Port of Cotonou as a founding PMAWCA member, and also pledged his support to capacity building and regional cooperation.
